Naked New York man arrested after breaking into Monroe County home

A New York man didn't have any clothes on when he allegedly broke into a Monroe County home and assaulted the resident.

Deputies with the Monroe County Sheriff's Office were called to the 8800 block of Swan Creek Road in Berlin Township around 8:30 p.m. Monday on reports that a naked man tried to enter a business. 911 callers said the man was acting strangely and saying odd things before he ran away, leaving behind his vehicle.

As deputies searched for the man, a resident in the 3600 block of Law Street called 911 and said a man matching the description of the man had entered his home. When the homeowner confronted the suspect, the naked man allegedly assaulted him before leaving and walking away from the home.

15-year-old boy arrested after Monroe County police chase

A 15-year-old driver is in custody after a police chase Sunday night in Monroe.

When deputies spotted the 34-year-old man walking from the home, he allegedly ran back to the home, tried to get inside again, and assaulted the homeowner a second time.

After a struggle between the suspect and deputies, he was arrested for home invasion, resisting/obstructing/assaulting police, and indecent exposure. He is currently in the Monroe County Jail.
