Police: Man pulled gun in road rage incident
AUBURN HILLS, Mich. - An Oakland County man is under arrest for an alleged case of road rage.
“He allegedly pulled the weapon on the driver two times,” said Jill McDonnell of Auburn Hills police. It happened in Auburn Hills Tuesday afternoon at Baldwin and I-75 after one guy cut another guy off.
“Fingers were flying and people were yelling back and forth. One of the drivers allegedly pulled a gun and pointed it at the driver of the other vehicle,” says Jill McDonnell of Auburn Hills Police.
Police say the man with the gun, a 36-year-old from Lake Orion, then started chasing the 47-year-old victim from Westland, who called 911 for help.
“He called police and was giving us updates as they were driving down the road,” says McDonnell.
Auburn Hills police officers were able to get in place, pull over the gun-wielding driver and place him under arrest.
Police say, instead of packing heat, drivers should pack patience.
“People need to pack their patience; it's a busy time of year,” said McDonnell.
