Thief steals Salvation Army kettle in Farmington Hills
FARMINGTON HILLS, Mich. - The Farmington Hills police are asking for the public's help finding a red kettle thief.
A suspect stole a Salvation Army red kettle outside Walgreen's on Eight Mile and Grand River Friday night.
When the volunteer bell ringer went inside for a moment, the suspect took the kettle and entire stand with him.
A spokesperson for the Salvation Army says that the Farmington Hills police took up an emergency collection and officers from the department pooled $500 to replace what was taken.
Police released a security camera image of a man described as 6 feet, early 20s wearing a blue hoodie with distinct insignia and khaki pants.
