Another heated argument erupted in court Friday after Jennifer Crumbley's defense attorney said "I'm going to kill myself" during the trial, sparkling backlash from prosecutors who said it's disrespectful to the victims and their families.

Prosecutors introduced a trove of text messages between Jennifer Crumbley, James Crumbley and their son, including pleas from the shooter for his mom to text him back when he was struggling with being home alone.

Text messages from the Oxford shooter to his mother show he was hallucinating and paranoid when home alone. Prosecutors are trying to prove that Jennifer Crumbley ignored her son's pleas for help months before the shooting happened.

Shannon Smith, Jennifer Crumbley's defense attorney, and Judge Cheryl Matthews argued at length over why the Oxford shooter won't testify and how that affects the rest of the case.

Cammy Beck, the firearms store manager who sold James Crumbley the gun, recalled the day James Crumbley and his son, the shooter, came into the store.

Oxford High School Assistant Principal Kristy Gibson-Marshall told jurors she crossed paths with the shooter as the chaos unfolded and stayed with one of the four students who was killed until authorities arrived.

Prosecutors accused the defense of ignoring orders from the judge for both sides to try and hide their emotions as they present their cases. Judge Cheryl Matthews and defense attorney Shannon Smith took issue with those accusations.

Molly Darnell, who worked as an English Language Arts teacher at Oxford High when the shooting happened, was shot while trying to close and lock her classroom door, she told the jury.
