A soggy finish to the week with rain expected much of Friday and into weekend

Grab your galoshes, it'll be a soggy finish to the week. 

Light rain is currently spreading north through the area and should be quite widespread for the morning commute. Check out FOX futurecast around 8 a.m.

While there may be some lulls in the rain here and there, I think they will be filled in before long, adding up to a wet day overall. 

Any afternoon storms that form aren't expected to be severe but will enhance the rainfall rates. 

Rain totals up to an inch aren't out of the question, but flooding potential remains quite low today.

Rain showers will linger tonight and into Saturday morning before drying things out and remaining that way Sunday. 

It continues to look like we'll carve out an excellent stretch of sunnier weather Sunday through much of next week with rain chances not coming back to the forecast until Thursday.
