LIVE ROAD CONDITIONS: Ice and sleet create slick Thursday morning commute
DETROIT (FOX 2) - Metro Detroiters are waking up to a nasty commute after snow, sleet and ice fell overnight.
Snow, sleet, and freezing rain will taper off during the morning commute, but a bit of freezing drizzle could linger through mid-morning.
Ice totals were forecasted to be up to .10 of an inch.
Spotty freezing rain to start the day
Some spotty precipitation lingers to start the morning, but most of the active weather is done for the day. Alan Longstreet has what to expect for the rest of the day.
While it doesn't seem like a lot, it is enough to coat roads and create dangerous conditions. The Thursday morning commute is predicted to be slick.
Hundreds of school districts have closed due to the weather.
