Severe Thunderstorm Watch issued for all of metro Detroit
(FOX 2) - A severe thunderstorm watch is in effect for all of metro Detroit Wednesday evening.
The watch is in effect until 11 p.m. and includes dozens of counties across the lower peninsula in Michigan.
A severe thunderstorn warning for parts of southeast Michigan was issued earlier this afternoon but has since been canceled.
As of about 6:30 p.m., there were about 2,000 power outages.
There is a flood advisory in effect until about 8:15 p.m. for the metro area.

Thursday is expected to bring less heat and humidity, some additional showers Friday but the weekend is looking nice, per FOX 2 Weather Authority Rich Luterman.
