Annual Patriots Race Helps Michigan Veterans

They'll be running for a good cause starting in Troy next Sunday.

The 4th annual Patriots Race starts at 9 a.m. Sept. 8 at the White Chapel Memorial Park Cemetery. It's a 5K and 10K fundraiser to help support U.S. military veterans and their families when they return home from deployment. Starting that same Sunday, the White Chapel Memorial Park Cemetery will kick-off a care package drive to support our troops overseas.

David Krall, vice president of the White Chapel Memorial Park Cemetery, stopped by the Fox2 News studios Sunday morning to preview the event and discuss the importance of the mission.
