Most photogenic baby contest at Oakland Mall Oct. 7-9

(WJBK) - The search is on for America's most photogenic baby!

The annual contest is coming to the metro Detroit area later this week. It's happening at Oakland Mall Oct. 7-9.

The entry fee costs $35 and includes a professional fashion photo shoot and 8x10 color contestant display photos. Parents will get to select entry photos for the contest.

All photos will then be on display for voting through November. Voting will take place in four different categories: precious, comical, beautiful and fashionable. Kids up to 5 years old are eligible.

Winners have appeared in films, commercials, national newspapers and magazines and on Broadway.

HOURS
Friday, Oct. 7 - 10 a.m. - 7 p.m.
Saturday, Oct. 8 - 10 a.m. - 7 p.m.
Sunday, Oct. 9 - 12 p.m. - 5 p.m.

TIPS FOR PARENTS
1. Be sure your child is well rested and well fed
2. Bring along a favorite toy, treat, or person to dis tract your child
3. Don't get caught up in the quest for "the BIG smile"
4. Whoever is bringing the child to the photoshoot should relax and HAVE FUN!

This is the 23rd annual Children's Miracle Network event, which has raised more than $4 million for affiliated CMN children's hospitals nationwide. Proceeds raised at Oakland Mall will benefit CMN at William Beaumont Hospital.
