Woman arrested on suspicion of drunk driving after hitting fire truck

A woman was arrested Sunday on suspicion of driving under the influence in northwest Detroit after hitting a fire truck.

At about 7:30 p.m. at Grand River and Wyoming, a woman drove through the blocked off street on scene of an abandoned warehouse fire.

She refused to turn around at the police block and maneuvered her vehicle through.

As she attempted to turn around, she backed into a fire truck.

Firefighters pulled the woman out of the vehicle, and Detroit police arrested her on suspicion that she was driving while drunk.
